Call for Applications: Publication Grant for IAHR Book Series “The Study of Religion in a Global Context”
We are pleased to announce that the IAHR has launched the IAHR Book Series Publication Grant. The IAHR makes publication expenses available up to € 6000 per year to publish open access. The funds can only be used to pay the fees for publishing open access (monographs or collected volumes) in the IAHR Book Series “The Study of Religion in a Global Context”. The grant can be converted to a Language Editing Grant for publications in the IAHR Book Series.
Applicants exclusively from countries and territories eligible to receive official development assistance (ODA) are entitled to apply for the IAHR Book Series Publication Grant. A group of IAHR members, if one of them is also a member of the American Academy of Religion, can apply for this grant. (All individual members of IAHR member associations and societies are "IAHR members.")

Travel Grants
The host of an IAHR Quinquennial World Congress usually offers partial travel grants to participants from weak currency countries.
In addition, the IAHR modestly covers travel fees of delegates to IAHR International Committee meetings. Please check our e-Bulletin Supplements and Calls for the meetings.
IAHR Summer/Winter School Grants
The International Association for the History of Religions (IAHR) aims to promote the academic study of religions by fostering international collaboration among scholars within and across its Member and Affiliate associations engaged in the historical, social, and comparative study of religions.
An IAHR Summer/Winter School consists of a series of lectures, seminars, and other academic activities organized by an IAHR Member or Affiliated association, in collaboration with a study and/or research institution.
IAHR Best Graduate Student Paper Awards
Equinox, publishers of the Bulletin for the Study of Religion, and the IAHR are pleased to launch the annual "IAHR Best Graduate Student Paper Awards," open to graduate student members of any IAHR member association.

Please consider donating to the IAHR in order to support and ensure the continuous development of the academic study of religions.
The IAHR is not registered officially as a charity in the US or Canada, meaning that donations do not qualify as tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. However, there are possibilities to donate and to get tax benefits for citizen of several European countries through “Transnational Giving Europe” (TGE). Persons interested to make a donation are encouraged to directly contact our Treasurer.
